How to Begin Your Proxy

Surfing the Internet anonymously is
possible with a proxy.
Using a web based proxy to surf the
Internet has the major benefit of
allowing you to browse the Internet
anonymously. In an age when
people are paranoid about the "big
brother" culture and who can access
their details a proxy gives you the
peace of mind that no one can see
your location or IP address. Many
sites offer this service and act as
third party intermediaries, masking
your details, and it is not at all
difficult to use their services.

Instructions
1. Visit a site which will provide you
with a proxy for your web
browsing. These include Dave
Proxy, Free Proxy Server and Free
Web Proxy (see resources.) These
sites are also free of charge.
2. Type in the URL address of the
website you wish to surf
anonymously in the address bar on
your chosen proxy site. Click on
"OK" to go to that site.
3. Begin browsing the website
anonymously, protected by your
free proxy server.
4. Simply close the window you are
using to browse with the proxy in
order to close the proxy and shed
your anonymity.
